Choosing FiveM & RedM Scripts and MLOs
Compare platforms, framework support, dependencies and interior features before choosing a FiveM or RedM script or MLO for your roleplay server.

Start with the job your resource needs to do. A script adds behavior or a server system; an MLO provides a mapped interior. Some projects need both. A house interior, for example, supplies the space while a housing script manages ownership or furnishings.
Match your platform and runtime
Choose the resource for the platform your server uses: FiveM or RedM. Do not assume that a resource for one platform includes a version for the other.
For FiveM, check the exact runtime listed on the product page and in its documentation. Read FiveM Legacy and Enhanced compatibility and ask for clarification before buying if your server’s runtime is not listed.
Check scripts for integration requirements
Before choosing a script, read its resource guide for:
- Supported frameworks or an explicit statement that it is framework independent.
- Required libraries and resources, and the order in which they must start.
- Configuration options, exports and events used to connect your existing scripts.
- Which settings belong to the server owner and which are available to players.

Check MLOs for the roleplay you want
Look beyond the exterior image. Compare the interior layout, entrances, working doors, lighting and whether furniture is included. Read the listing to understand which parts are supplied by the MLO and which need a separate script.

For any interior, check how it fits with other maps and resources installed in the same area. Test entrances, doors and visibility on your own server before opening the space to players.

Read how to install a resource, then follow the product-specific instructions. Test configuration changes before rolling them out to your community.
If a requirement is unclear, use the support guide to prepare your question. Include the resource name and your platform, runtime and framework so the answer can address your setup.
